There are bats seen all over throughout Halloween Town. The most notable ones are the ones seen appearing before Oogie Boogie's shadow on the moon, the ones hanging on the Christmas Tree the real Santa Claus and the bats Oogie Boogie song, and until the real Santa Claus returned and replaced the bats into parakeets.
