Applause, Inc. is a toy company that produced stuffed toys and collectable figures. The company licensed toys from Warner Bros, Disney, and Jim Henson 's Muppets. Its principal subsidiaries included Dakin, Inc. and International Tropic-Cal Inc. The Applause brand survives as part of Russ Berrie.
In the 1990s, the Applause company released "The Nightmare Before Christmas" items as a part of the movie's release such as poseable dolls, pencil toppers, PVC figures, bendable figures, keychains, cookie jars, coffee mugs, and other items.
