"You've probably wondered where holidays come from, if you haven't I'd say it's time you've begun."

-The Narrator, The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The Nightmare Before Christmas[edit | edit source]

The Narrator is first seen in The Nightmare Before Christmas, in the intro to the film before This is Halloween. In rhyme, he introduces us to the concept of the Holiday Worlds, as we see the individual Holiday Doors in the Hinterlands. It is unknown as to whether or not The Narrator is actually Sandy Claws, as both characters share the same voice actor, Ed Ivory, and in a cut closing to the film, Sandy Claws is the one providing the closing narration.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge[edit | edit source]

In the sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge; The Narrator returns, filling the same purpose as he did in the film. He provides the same narration that he gave in the film, and again segways into This is Halloween.
