The Battle for Pumpkin King is a prequel comic adaption of the movie, set before the events of The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is published by TOKYOPOP via five single-issues, before it will be converted into a graphic novel. The issues began releasing in May 2023, while the graphic novel released later in September 2023.
